 The 18th of november was a special day for wainui beach school because on that day the fully practiced students that were schooled there were performing Their kupu waiata.  They got dressed in their uniforms and then got their mokos painted on with a special ink that can come off easily. Then when they were ready 4 busses arrived and jumped on and off they dove with all their equipment and teachers. 

When they arrived at the showgrounds they all piled out excitedly and sang their school songs that would they would perform on stage. Then the lady came out and told them that they would be next up on the show. Then they sang their songs on the stage and made most of the old women cry, meh, then they piled off the stage and watched the others then they went back on stage and sang their most special song Tumaira and then they went back to their taonga wainui beach school!

We are performing Glitter by BENEE A different song as  well at the craft fair GALA . 

And we are wearing the same clothes and other interesting girly things.  Anyway enough with that load of nonsense! I'll write another blog about what happened on monday that means I'll have two blog posts : ]

Watching speeches finals

 As I watched the speech finals, I learned alot about the characters like Rosa parks,  Kate shepard, Mr ford and many others! Listening to other people talk about real interesting facts, gets my mind moving. I also take in the information on what's going on. That is why I like listening to speeches. I get It know that people like Jacinda Ardern need speeches so the world {or the country} can Be a better place!  

BAND QUEST

 THE DARK SHADOWS have arrived Cornelia Boyd, Ivy Mcmillan and Josephine lambert.

I got chosen with my friends to do a band quest we havent decided what our name will be yet. But we know what our song will be GLITTER made by BENEE. I will be using a electric ukulele!

car racing

 In the last two weeks, I went to the speedway and watched thousands of cars race and crash into each other, it was loud there and we needed to wear earmuffs. We ate crisped chips while watching. There were about 4 or 9 ladies that were racing. It was fun, we stayed there from 3 o'clock to 8 o'clock. We went to get some food and left to go home. I learnt that car racing is funny, dangerous and cool!

                                                                                      

Cross country

 It was cross country and Cornelia and I were waiting in the line and bang the wooden bricks slammed together and we ran off. I was so puffed that after a minute I was so tired I needed a break! 🍧🍨Because I was running  for 4 miles, I started walking so then I made up a rule that when I got puffed or the same word exhausteded I would start walking and when someone catches up behind me or in front of me would start running again with lots more energy and at the end of the race i came 4th! What a surprise!

Pihitia farm

 Before we knew it we were loaded into the bus with a lot of babbling sheep { joke for the farm the sheep are the people who talk to much on the bus!} I sat next to Kale'a and we both had tissues in our bags so we decided to make an origami chatterbox.

We arrived in 45 minutes and we hopped of the bus leaving with a thank you for the bus driver he said no worries and drove off the driveway of Pihitia farm. okay it is almost the end of the day so I will tell you my favourite parts of my adventure then I will tell you something really funny to remember that cool funny day!My favourite part was getting to see the lambs and getting to see some of the sheep getting sheared.

And the funny part was when I jumped in the back of the ute and jumped into the dog kennel that was stuck in the back of the ute and locked myself in it Kayla went for help while I tried to fiddle with the lock incase it might help but it did not work it just made it worse I thought I might have to stay in the back of a ute and be used as a working dog but I was happy because Angus came to the rescue and unlocked it that was the funny part Ha Ha!

Matua Beau our new teacher!

 Koka Terri has left because of her baby😢, and now we have a new teacher called Matua Beau😊.

Matua Beau is really nice😌, tall, cool😎, happy😀, loves games, loves art, and is funny😋. We do lots of games in the afternoon and we get lots of spare time to finish or start our priorities. And then we get lots of time with our workshops and if we finish our priorities fast enough, and matua beau is not in a workshop you can use the board for maths questions!

I learn new games that matua beau has learnt and then I can teach my family! I think that matua beau is a good teacher.😁

LTP at the beach!

I had know idea that we were going to the beach for ltp,

but anyway I lined up on the deck waiting for us to move onto the next step witch was going to the beach.

something hit me it was the same thing that I did yesterday; It was braiding hair but the teachers hair! What an excellent idea, I said to myself. As we headed down for the beach I was wondering which teachers hair I would braid and I chose Koka Terri and Koka Lea.

We finally made it to the beach and I found a nice corner in the sun to braid at while cornelia asked the teachers if we could braid their hair and these were the teachers Koka Terri, Loka Lea and Koka Rozie.

Soon enough I got Koka Terri to come but Rio was too fast and asked Koka Terri if she could braid her hair. I was a bit stink about that but I had Koka Lea, Esther wanted to help me so I let her. We had finished just in time to clean up and head back up to school. I learned how to braid hair fast and tidy!

Editing word work

 Since I had finished editing with Koka Terri a couple of weeks ago, now in hui Koka Terri said if anyone who did not edit their word work has to check with editing with someone who has finished editing their word work.I had edited my word work already so I had Lola, Millie, Esther, Nina, and Alice. We had a lot of fun editing together and soon we had finished we all said bye and went to start our priorities!

Our reliever for last week was koka jo shand, she told us to come in room 2. She made us do a really cool piece of art. The art is called autumn leaf art and this is what I  have started with.💙

On wednesday I did a lot more than the first time I did it, and it had a lot more detail as well! And now check out the next picture! this picture is almost finished its just I need to dye it.

By the way I have to go now and finish it along with my priorities!

my dog pippa and the funny part!

 My family went down to the beach to visit the rockpools, and see all the wildlife that lives there.We crossed the busy road safely. Our american staffordshire bull terrier dog named Pippa  ran around in circles before she took of down the beach. I ran as fast as I could to keep up with dad and Pippa. Rusty my brother asked if he could hold pippa on the leash, and the funny part was when dad had ran in front of pippa she took of thinking that dad was playing a game and ran of with Rusty still holding the leash tightly and soon enough he had dropped to the ground and was being dragged all over the place! And you have to remember that she was still a puppy but a very strong puppy!

my weekend!

It all started when I begged mum for a week to have a bonfire with my neighbour Rio.Slowly mum said 'yes, but only if you are good.' Then I suddenly raced upstairs to clean my room. After I finished, mum made me do a lot more house chores until she was happy about the house. At last she had said time for a bonfire. Now it was my turn to be happy!

I had invited Rio over to collect the sticks to light the fire for our big night so that rio and in can roast our marshmallows and our sausages! when it started getting dark the flames of the bonfire lit up the area where we were.And when we jumped on the trampoline our shadows were like big black monsters in a lava cave!

Then it was time to roast the marshmallows and sausages so that we could eat them.Then dad had a joke that I was not going to have a birthday!I was so annoyed when dad said that.Never mind.After we had eaten we played a game called ball tag in the tramp,and guess who was in rio!when rio was going to kick the ball at me i jumped away in time but i should have been hit by ball because it went flying into my other neighbours property!

I quickly ran over to the fence and asked myself if i would climb over the fence too the neighbors and grab the balland be naughty and trespass well i was having the bonfire and it was pretty dark anyway and mum was inside making a noodle salad and dad was asleep with the music blazing with rock'n'roll so no one was going to notice if i quietly sneaked over the fence and grabbed the ball sio i did and rio was amazed that i did that!

At least we finished the game with a ball and ate some food for the filling and had the best time of a lifetime!😛

horsing around!

Once, I forgot how long ago it was, is that I went to lysnar valley equestrian. That's where you can go horse riding,and that is also where I went.
I had asked Veronika my mum if I could see Bebo.
Bebo is a wonderful, beautiful, always hungry, brown horse.He is also my favourite horse in the whole entire world!
l was just lucky because Sarah Acan the owner of lysnar valley equestrian was right there right in front of my mum.They were talking about me and my brother to hang out with the horses and to help sarah catch the horses, to groom them, to help her clean tack and to help her feed the horses. we is me and my brother, but my brother had a birthday that he wanted to go to instead of horse riding.
so first sarah told me to catch a horse called Lillie she is a skewbald and after I had caught her in the paddock I had to groom her then after i did that i had to clean tack for these other big year 7 girls so that they could ride these horses: Lillie, Tea, BEBO,and Cloud although Cloud is retired.I was Sarah's little assistant that helped her but I still had to pay a lot of money, at least I had remembered that time.

First week back at school 2020!!!

It has been an awesome week for me, we had lots of games to play as well as sports and trips.
ART:we have made a wonderful bit of art,it is called collaborative art.
OUT OF SCHOOL:We walked from school to Hamanatua stream.We learnt about the area and  saw how much fennel there was  at Hamanatua stream,we walked back from Hamanatua stream to school.It was a big walk to get there and back.
GAMES:we played all sorts of games, but my most popular game was with a balloon,the hard thing about the game was not to pop the balloon, but lots of people wanted to go fast so that they could win ,unfortunately the people that went fast popped their balloons.
SPORTS:Swimming!We were practicing swimming for enter prize the strokes we did were these:Backstroke, Freestyle Breath stroke. we also practiced our swimming so that we can be good strong swimmers so that we can also not just because  we can be good swimmers but  that we can swim better in the sea and deal with it if you get stuck in a storm.

my holiday

In the holidays mum took us hiking to waihere domain.
At the beginning of the walk,  there was a playground. In the playground there were some plastic swings and a really bumpy slide .  Rusty and I had  to take turns on the slide otherwise one of us was gonna get hurt.   We saw a empty pool, and some silly people had spray painted bad vibes on the pool sides.

 At the end of the walk was a shimmery waterfall. There were stepping stones that went across a little stream that connected to a sandy pond. There was a cave on the other side of the stepping stones. It leads though the cave & up the waterfall were you find a cool looking place.

There is another way to get up onto the waterfall but,  it is on a 6 foot tall cliff and the path is only as long as half a ruler.  The path is long and steep. 
At the end of the hike,  we got to eat some delicious sushi that gave my stomach a tingling sensation. That was my favourite thing!

MY FIRST WEEK BACK AT SCHOOL ! 2020
